Hermes Shipping & Transport GmbH, Hamburg assisted and cooperated successfully to win the tender for door-to-door transportation from Strasbourg, France to Luobu, China of a complete 2nd hand pulpmill. Throughout the project, from February 2002 to December 2003, Hermes coordinated and arranged for cargo-movement on the jobsite including the supply of container-stackers and mobile cranes up to 500tons. Hermes handled the transport to FOB Antwerp, chartering Rhinebarges and arranged for extended free storage at Antwerp.
Hermes supplied more than 340 2nd hand containers of all types to the jobsite and moved a total of 22800FRT breakbulk, with weights up to 75000kgs, lengths up to 31m and single pieces of 1000cbm volume. Throughout the project, all activities were documented digitally and online status-information was available to the customer via the internet. |
